Description:

We’re hiring a Pastry Decorator who treats every dessert as a canvas — someone with artistic flair, attention to detail, and a deep love for crafting sweets that wow on sight. You’ll be responsible for decorating a wide variety of baked goods, from birthday cakes and wedding tiers to seasonal pastries and signature desserts. You’ll follow client requests and bakery templates, while also adding your personal touch when design freedom is given. You’ll collaborate with executive chefs and planners to ensure every creation aligns with theme, palette, and overall event aesthetic. We expect you to stay calm under pressure, organized during peak hours, and focused on both beauty and speed. We expect you to bring consistency to even the most intricate finishes — piping lace, layering textures, or placing edible pearls with surgical precision. You’ll coordinate with bakers to align flavors, fillings, and tiers with the overall vision and customer expectations. You’ll photograph your finished work and help showcase it on our social media or website portfolio. You’ll maintain a clean, food-safe work area and handle ingredients with care and precision.

Basic Qualifications:

• Track inventory of decorative supplies like sprinkles, food coloring, fondant, and toppers.
• Ensure consistent quality by following recipes, color guides, and design references.
• Document and label orders to avoid mix-ups, especially with personalized messages or complex designs.
• Collaborate with customers or team members to customize designs for events, themes, or special occasions.
• Collaborate with bakers and kitchen staff to coordinate timing and freshness of decorated items.

Preferred:

• Experience decorating cakes, cupcakes, pastries, or cookies for events, bakeries, or custom orders.
• Comfortable customizing desserts for holidays, weddings, birthdays, or themed celebrations.
• Able to follow design requests or references while adding personal artistic flair when needed.
• Can work under time pressure during peak seasons or special event weekends.
• Open to feedback and enthusiastic about continuously improving decoration skills.
