Description:

We’re hiring a Decorative Painter to create elegant finishes in upscale homes, hotels, boutiques, and restaurants — perfect for someone with an artistic eye, a steady hand, and deep respect for fine interior work. You’ll prep and paint exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers depending on the material and access method. You’ll prepare surfaces using sandblasting, pressure washing, grinding, or chemical treatments to ensure proper adhesion. You’ll operate sprayers, rollers, or brushes to apply coatings according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. You’ll help set up and break down containment areas, scaffolding, and ventilation systems before and after each job. You’ll assist in mixing paints and matching colors using digital tools or traditional formulas. You’ll tape, cover, and protect freshly installed cabinetry, floors, and fixtures before painting begins. You’ll be trained to follow build schedules, paint specifications, and construction safety protocols on every site. You’ll rotate between base coats, trim work, ceilings, and accent walls depending on the room and material needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Follow environmental disposal guidelines for paint, solvents, and other materials.
• Follow safety protocols when working with ladders, scaffolding, and chemical products.
• Track paint usage, supply needs, and report low inventory to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Follow blueprints or color schemes provided by clients, designers, or supervisors.
• Apply specialty finishes such as faux textures, murals, or waterproof coatings when needed.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of different paint types (latex, oil-based, epoxy, etc.) and appropriate use for interior or exterior conditions.
• Willing to protect furniture, floors, and fixtures using drop cloths, tape, and coverings.
• Open to seasonal or weather-dependent work including exterior painting and surface prep.
• Pays strong attention to detail to ensure clean lines, even coverage, and minimal drips or streaks.
• Familiar with repairing drywall, filling holes, or caulking gaps prior to painting.

You’ll help install signage, patch scuffs, and handle small touch-ups before final inspection or walkthrough. You’ll assist with transporting paint, ladders, tape, and drop cloths from site to site using company vehicles or your own. You’ll work in hot, cold, windy, or humid conditions while maintaining a steady pace and clean technique. You’ll assist with samples, mockups, and test areas before final application on any custom project. You’ll collaborate with contractors, foremen, or restoration specialists during large multi-trade renovation projects.
