Description:

We’re offering a Public Relations Specialist Trainee position for someone who’s passionate about communication, storytelling, and building public trust — no experience required, just strong instincts, curiosity, and attention to tone. You’ll assist in crafting press materials, preparing Q&A briefs, and curating media contact lists for outreach. We’ll teach you how to build and maintain press lists, track earned coverage, and report on campaign performance. You’ll help pitch stories to media outlets and learn how to tailor your message for different platforms and audiences. Expect to participate in real campaigns, from product launches to reputation management efforts. You’ll learn how to write compelling pitches that get noticed — and how to follow up like a pro. We’ll guide you in handling public feedback and helping brands respond with clarity and professionalism. You’ll assist in competitive research to see how others communicate, and what makes stories resonate. You’ll assist in drafting responses to media inquiries, internal FAQs, and statements for public release.

Basic Qualifications:

• Turn complex company updates into human, headline-worthy stories.
• Maintain a media contact list and update it regularly to reflect current relationships.
• Plan and execute PR campaigns around product launches, events, or brand milestones.
• Draft bylines, op-eds, and ghostwritten pieces for leadership when needed.
• Stay up to date with media law, ethics, and best practices in public communication.

Preferred:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional tone.
• Comfortable using PR tools such as Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack, or Google Alerts for media monitoring.
• Willing to assist with community engagement, partnership coordination, or thought leadership content.
• Open to managing influencer outreach or brand ambassador relations when relevant.
• Knows how to respond quickly to crises or negative press with clarity and professionalism.
