Description:

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant who values precision, confidentiality, and consistency in every aspect of financial operations. You’ll help keep the books clean, the numbers aligned, and the deadlines met without breaking a sweat. You’ll learn how financial data flows through a company, and why accuracy at every step matters. You will assist with the preparation of financial reports, reconciliation of accounts, and coordination during monthly close. You’ll work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate ledgers and up-to-date records. You’ll double-check totals, match receipts, and ask the right questions when something doesn’t line up. You’ll double-check totals, flag inconsistencies, and follow up until things balance perfectly. You’ll support the team during deadlines and end-of-month crunches, bringing calm and focus when it matters. You’ll help prepare financial statements, assist with audits, and support monthly closings. Your organizational skills will shine in tasks others overlook — like file naming, deadline tracking, and clean documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Assist with tax filing preparation by organizing relevant documents and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate records in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and update spreadsheets with financial data.
• Prepare journal entries under supervision and assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Help streamline accounting processes by suggesting automation tools, better templates, or documentation standards.
• Use spreadsheets and formulas effectively—sorting data, running totals, and creating simple financial models when needed.

Preferred:

• Able to assist in preparing reports, balance sheets, or reconciliations under supervision.
• Can assist with monthly closings, expense reports, or internal audits.
• Experience working with ERP or cloud-based finance systems is a plus.
• Wants to grow into roles like Junior Accountant, Financial Analyst, or Payroll Coordinator.
• Open to learning basic tax documentation, journal entries, or financial workflows.
