Description:

We’re looking for an Actuary Trainee who wants to learn how numbers shape the future of finance, insurance, and risk — no prior experience needed, just strong analytical skills and attention to detail. You’ll work alongside experienced actuaries to assist with forecasting, modeling, and analyzing large sets of financial data. We’ll teach you how to collect, clean, and interpret data to support pricing, forecasting, and decision-making. You’ll learn to use industry-standard tools and spreadsheets to simulate future scenarios and analyze risk exposure. Expect to calculate probabilities, analyze trends, and understand how small shifts in data impact financial outcomes. You’ll support quarterly updates, regulatory filings, and model validations that directly inform business strategy. We’ll show you how to build assumptions into models and stress test them against real-world scenarios. You’ll sit in on meetings where risk is discussed not just mathematically, but as business impact. We’ll introduce you to stochastic methods, credibility theory, and the building blocks of solvency calculations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Document assumptions and methodologies clearly so others can validate or reproduce results.
• Train or mentor junior actuarial staff and help them prepare for certification exams.
• Take a proactive role in identifying risks before they become expensive problems.
• Build and maintain actuarial models that predict outcomes for insurance, finance, or pension products.
• Collaborate with data engineers or analysts to streamline data pipelines and improve accuracy.

Preferred:

• Experience working with actuarial software, spreadsheets, or programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL.
• Maintains confidentiality, objectivity, and compliance with professional standards.
• Thrives in analytical, detail-focused environments where models drive business strategy.
• Comfortable using tools like Excel (with advanced functions), SAS, Prophet, or VBA for data manipulation.
• Experience with audit support or regulatory submissions is a plus.
