Description:

We’re looking for a WordPress Assistant who knows their way around the dashboard like it’s second nature and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty with plugins, themes, and a little bit of HTML/CSS. You’ve probably spent hours inside the WordPress dashboard, adjusting layouts, formatting posts, uploading media, and making sure pages look just right. Whether it’s formatting blog posts, adjusting page layouts, or keeping themes and plugins up to date, you bring structure and consistency to the chaos. You’re comfortable handling basic customizations with HTML and CSS, and you’re not afraid to dive into a plugin’s settings to get things just right. You understand the basics of SEO, how to compress images without sacrificing quality, and why backups and plugin updates really matter. You’re not a developer, but you’re confident enough to poke around in the code if something needs a small fix — and you definitely know how to Google your way through a tricky error message.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help upload content (blogs, images, product listings) while formatting it to match the site's design and SEO standards.
• Communicate with hosting providers or domain registrars when needed to resolve issues or adjust settings.
• Monitor site speed and help implement optimizations like lazy loading, minified assets, and caching strategies.
• Provide basic support to content creators or clients on how to navigate and use the admin dashboard.
• Stay organized by maintaining documentation of changes, plugins used, and login credentials (securely, of course).

Preferred:

• Background or strong interest in web design, digital marketing, or content management.
• Has basic troubleshooting skills when plugins conflict or pages break visually.
• Experience working with clients or team members via Trello, Slack, or Google Docs.
• Able to maintain brand consistency when uploading or editing visual assets.
• Comfortable updating website content, proofreading posts, and ensuring formatting consistency.
