We’re looking for a Freelance Resume Writer who can listen, interpret, and transform a client’s experience into job-winning language. You understand that a great resume isn’t just a list of jobs — it’s a marketing tool tailored to each opportunity. You know how to distill years of experience into powerful bullet points that recruiters notice instantly. Your job is to highlight what matters, cut what doesn’t, and structure everything for impact and clarity. Your words will help clients unlock new roles, higher pay, and better confidence — and that’s powerful. You’ll receive briefs or raw materials and turn them into professional, polished resumes ready for today’s job market. You’ll edit ruthlessly, format cleanly, and write with both recruiters and ATS in mind. Tone, voice, and clarity matter — and you know how to adjust them to fit each client’s personality and target role. You’ll offer guidance on structure, keywords, layout, and language that helps resumes stand out in the pile.

Basic Qualifications:

• Provide value beyond writing—sometimes clients just need encouragement, structure, or clarity.
• Stay updated on hiring trends, resume standards, and industry-specific expectations across sectors (tech, healthcare, finance, etc.).
• Edit and restructure outdated resumes, turning messy job lists into strategic, results-oriented narratives.
• Provide honest but constructive feedback when client expectations don’t match best practices or realities of the job market.
• Translate technical or complex experience into plain, compelling language that resonates with recruiters and hiring managers.

Preferred:

• Wants to help people tell their career story in a strategic and confident way.
• Understands the differences between chronological, functional, and hybrid resume formats.
• Able to simplify complex experiences into concise, readable language.
• Experience creating or refining resumes across various industries and job levels.
• Can tailor resumes to specific job descriptions and employer expectations.

You’ll be expected to deliver polished documents with minimal grammar or formatting errors. Timely delivery, clean formatting, and clear communication are second nature to you.
