Description:

We’re hiring a Pastry Decorator who treats every dessert as a canvas — someone with artistic flair, attention to detail, and a deep love for crafting sweets that wow on sight. You’ll be responsible for decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other specialty pastries with consistency, elegance, and creativity. You’ll work closely with the baking team to ensure all items are decorated and ready for display, pickup, or delivery on time. You’ll collaborate with executive chefs and planners to ensure every creation aligns with theme, palette, and overall event aesthetic. You’ll work with buttercream, ganache, fondant, chocolate, and glaze — knowing when to go bold and when to keep it simple. We expect you to bring consistency to even the most intricate finishes — piping lace, layering textures, or placing edible pearls with surgical precision. You’ll also prep decorative elements ahead of time, including handmade sugar flowers, custom monograms, and molded accents. You’ll monitor inventory of toppings, sprinkles, piping bags, and tools, restocking and reporting low supplies when needed. You’ll contribute to seasonal collections, new menu items, and display concepts that reflect current trends and customer tastes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Manage decorating timelines to ensure all orders are completed on schedule and ready for pickup or service.
• Take pride in turning baked goods into edible works of art that wow customers every time.
• Clean and maintain tools like piping tips, spatulas, and airbrush kits for long-term use.
• Photograph finished products for portfolio, social media, or marketing use.
• Suggest creative ideas for new pastries or display items to keep offerings visually exciting.

Preferred:

• Able to replicate designs across batches with consistency and quality control.
• Knows how to handle delicate decorations, temperature-sensitive ingredients, and storage requirements.
• Wants to grow into roles like Lead Cake Decorator, Bakery Owner, or Pastry Chef.
• Familiar with photographing and presenting finished pastries for marketing or portfolio use.
• Background or passion in pastry arts, baking, cake design, or culinary presentation.
