Description:

We’re looking for a Barista Trainee to join our mobile coffee team — someone who’s flexible, upbeat, and ready to learn the ropes in a fast-paced, on-the-go setting. You’ll help set up the coffee truck at different locations — from early morning office spots to weekend markets and events. You’ll assist in prepping gear, checking the espresso machine, and stocking milk, beans, and cups before service starts. You’ll be trained in milk steaming technique, practicing texture and temperature until you’re confident with every cup. You’ll learn how to balance speed with care, delivering drinks quickly without cutting corners on quality. You’ll support mobile setup and teardown, learning how to pack equipment safely and efficiently for transport. You’ll help restock cups, lids, and beans, and learn how to rotate supplies to minimize waste and maintain freshness. You’ll pitch in on restocking shelves, folding to-go bags, and labeling syrups, pastries, or cold brews. You’ll help support daily rituals like cuppings, team calibration, and opening the café with intention and flow.

Basic Qualifications:

• Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and answer questions about the menu.
• Learn customer names and preferences to build a friendly, community-driven environment.
• Help keep the café atmosphere welcoming, relaxing, and on-brand.
• Stay calm and friendly during busy hours, managing multiple drink orders at once.
• Assist in training new hires by modeling good habits and sharing tips.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Shift Lead, Head Barista, or Café Manager.
• Understands how to manage customer queues, prepare orders efficiently, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Values friendliness, precision, and teamwork in a service-driven environment.
• Willing to assist with food prep, pastry display, and light cleaning duties during slow periods.
• Familiar with basic coffee bean knowledge, roast profiles, and brewing techniques (e.g., pour-over, French press, cold brew).
