Description:
We’re looking for a Newsletter Copywriter who can transform ideas into emails people *actually* want to open, read, and click. You’ll be the voice behind the screen that informs, entertains, and motivates our audience to take action, whether that’s clicking a link, discovering something new, or simply staying connected to the brand. You’ll craft subject lines that stand out, write copy that flows like a conversation, and always keep the reader at the center of every word. From catchy subject lines to punchy preview text and engaging body copy, you’ll make sure every email has a voice, a purpose, and a reason to be opened. You’ll work closely with marketing, content, and design to make sure every send supports larger campaign goals while delivering value in its own right. You’re someone who understands how to build anticipation, create urgency without pressure, and write CTAs that convert without sounding like a sales pitch.
Basic Qualifications:
- Collaborate with sales or affiliate teams to integrate limited-time offers or calls to action when relevant.
- Continuously look for new angles, stories, or formats to keep content fresh and prevent "newsletter fatigue".
- Write with mobile readers in mind—short paragraphs, scannable structure, and clear calls to action.
- Adapt tone and structure depending on audience type—B2B, B2C, warm leads, or loyal subscribers.
- Coordinate with product, support, or leadership teams to include important updates without overwhelming the reader.
Preferred:
- Experience writing email newsletters, campaigns, or marketing content.
- Open to feedback and iterating on drafts based on performance or team input.
- Background or studies in communication, journalism, marketing, or creative writing.
- Knows how to write compelling subject lines and preview text that increase open rates.
- Has experience writing for different types of newsletters — editorial, promotional, or digest.
Benefits:
- Opportunities to grow into strategist, content lead, or brand voice manager.
- We value personality in your writing — you don’t need to sound like a template.
- You’ll be involved early — not just handed a deadline and a template.
- Creative freedom to test hooks, stories, and weird-but-clickable subject lines.
- You’ll help build connection, not just content.
You’ll help segment audiences, tailor messages accordingly, and know when to keep it short vs. Experience with tools like ConvertKit, Klaviyo, or Mailchimp is great, but what really matters is your ability to write copy that resonates and gets results. If you’ve got experience with tools like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign, great — if not, you’re a fast learner. Familiarity with tools like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or ConvertKit is a plus, but your superpower is your voice and ability to write with purpose. If you’ve ever replied to an email just to say “this made my day” — you already get what we’re about. Let’s make inboxes better, one newsletter at a time.
