Description:

We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees for our blood donation center — no experience needed, just enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a warm, welcoming attitude. You’ll help collect blood from volunteer donors — the people who show up to save lives with nothing more than their time and compassion. We’ll teach you how to prepare the space, engage with families, and explain procedures in kid-friendly language. We’ll teach you how to collect samples with minimal disruption, follow strict safety protocols, and navigate the hospital calmly at night. You’ll be trained in infection control, patient identification, and how to make each collection quick, clean, and as comfortable as possible. You’ll learn how to work with nervous patients — how to explain, reassure, and help them feel safe in your care. You’ll become skilled at working independently while staying connected to the lab team and communicating in real-time. We’ll train you in infection control, time management, and what to do when things don’t go as planned — like hard-to-find veins or unexpected situations. You’ll develop a quiet confidence: how to knock, introduce yourself, set the tone, and get the job done with care and calm.

Basic Qualifications:

• Greet patients with kindness and ease their anxiety about the procedure.
• Take pride in your role—small vials, big impact on someone’s health.
• Work closely with nurses, lab techs, and doctors to support diagnostics.
• Be punctual and organized—your role often sets the tone for a patient's lab visit.
• Use electronic health records (EHR) systems to update patient info and order statuses.

Preferred:

• Can enter patient and specimen data into electronic medical records or lab systems.
• Knows how to handle fainting, nausea, or adverse reactions during collection.
• Open to flexible scheduling including weekends, early mornings, or rotating shifts.
• Pays close attention to patient identity verification and test requisition accuracy.
• Thrives in structured, procedural environments where safety and consistency matter.
