Description:

We’re hiring a motivated and dedicated Discord Moderator to join our team and help build a positive online community. You’ll be responsible for monitoring chat activity, ensuring users are following the community guidelines and fostering healthy discussions. You’ll monitor chat activity, keeping conversations on-topic and free of negativity, spam, and harassment. You’ll assist in creating and enforcing server rules, ensuring that every member understands and adheres to the guidelines. You’ll help resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and provide support to users in need, ensuring smooth interactions. You’ll work closely with other moderators to implement and enforce server rules, ensuring consistency and fairness. You’ll collaborate with the community management team to gather feedback, track trends, and suggest improvements for the community experience. You’ll engage with members, answer questions, and offer assistance to ensure that all users feel heard and valued.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help maintain a positive atmosphere by leading through example—being calm, kind, and fair even under pressure.
• Help track server suggestions, bug reports, and user feedback—passing them on to admins or developers as needed.
• Warn, mute, kick, or ban users when necessary to address spam, harassment, or other rule violations—using moderation tools like Dyno, Carl-bot, or MEE6.
• Help onboard new members by greeting them, guiding them through server rules, and answering basic questions.
• Encourage good behavior by recognizing helpful members, sharing wins, and reinforcing positive community norms.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Senior Moderator, Community Manager, or Event Lead.
• Values fairness, communication, and teamwork in all community interactions.
• Understands the importance of safety and mental well-being in online environments.
• Familiar with Discord and actively participates in servers as a community member.
• Interested in helping organize server activities or events to keep the community engaged.

You’ll provide regular feedback to the team on community health and suggest ways to improve engagement and user experience. You’ll assist in gathering feedback from community members and report any concerns to the management team. You’ll stay up to date with Discord updates, ensuring the server’s functionality and moderation features are optimized.
