Description:

We’re inviting a future educator to join our elementary school classroom as a trainee who’s ready to learn by doing. You don’t need prior teaching experience — just patience, curiosity, and a true love for working with kids. You’ll shadow experienced teachers, observe their teaching styles, and begin to understand what effective instruction really looks like. You’ll assist in managing the classroom environment — from organizing supplies to helping with transitions between subjects. You’ll help guide classroom behavior using patience, fairness, and consistent expectations. You’ll get hands-on experience working with children who learn at different paces and come from diverse backgrounds. You’ll help create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, respected, and excited to learn. We’ll coach you in classroom management strategies, positive reinforcement, and how to turn chaos into teachable moments. You’ll participate in creative projects, thematic units, and seasonal events that build community and school spirit.

Basic Qualifications:

• Prepare classroom materials, visuals, and activities in advance to keep each day structured and smooth.
• Adapt quickly when lessons don’t go as planned or students need more time or explanation.
• Maintain clear and consistent classroom routines that support focus, creativity, and behavior management.
• Reflect on your own teaching and look for ways to improve and inspire.
• Model patience, respect, and enthusiasm—your attitude sets the tone for your students.

Preferred:

• Familiar with educational tools such as Google Classroom, Seesaw, SMART Boards, or interactive whiteboards.
• Can build strong classroom routines that promote responsibility, kindness, and academic independence.
• Able to create engaging, inclusive, and structured classroom environments that support learning and curiosity.
• Pays close attention to individual learning styles, social-emotional needs, and behavioral patterns.
• Certified or licensed teacher with a background in elementary education, child development, or a related field.
