Description:

We’re welcoming a Receptionist Intern who’s ready to gain real-world experience in a professional front desk environment. You’ll begin by observing how experienced staff greet guests, handle calls, and manage a fast-paced reception area. Over time, you’ll start handling real responsibilities — from signing in visitors to managing simple appointment bookings. You’ll support calendar coordination, visitor sign-ins, and light admin tasks like printing, organizing, or updating checklists. You’ll assist with organizing files, updating spreadsheets, and keeping digital records accurate and secure. You’ll help organize paperwork, handle light data entry, and support email communication for the front desk. You’ll be taught how to manage incoming mail and deliveries, and notify the correct departments quickly. You’ll gain experience using booking systems, shared calendars, and office software like Microsoft Word and Excel. You’ll work closely with HR, office management, and sometimes even company leadership — learning how communication flows in a real business.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ensure all communications—written or verbal—represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate deliveries, accept packages, and notify team members of incoming shipments.
  • Listen actively and communicate clearly with people from all backgrounds.
  • Balance multitasking with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Greet visitors and clients with a friendly smile and professional attitude as they arrive.

Preferred:

  • Able to update bulletin boards, directories, or company signage as part of general upkeep.
  • Able to greet guests, answer phone calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate person or department.
  • Experience working at a front desk or customer-facing administrative role in an office, clinic, hotel, or service setting.
  • Understands safety protocols and procedures for signing in guests or handling emergencies.
  • Comfortable managing appointments, calendars, and visitor logs with accuracy and attention to detail.
