Description:
This is a rare chance to start your career in building maintenance — no experience required, just motivation and a positive attitude. No prior experience? Your first days will involve learning how to handle tools, follow safety procedures, and assist experienced techs. You’ll begin by shadowing experienced maintenance staff and learning the basics of building systems. Every task is a learning opportunity — whether it’s fixing a leaking faucet or testing a smoke detector. You’ll learn how to safely use tools, ladders, and equipment — and when to ask for help. Expect to be on your feet, moving through hallways, boiler rooms, rooftops, and everything in between. You’ll help with routine inspections, note any issues, and assist in minor repairs across the building. Plumbing, electrical, painting, locks — you’ll get a taste of everything as you explore the trade.
Basic Qualifications:
- Keep detailed records of maintenance history and equipment condition for inspections and audits.
- Update logs and work orders using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track activity and parts used.
- Work independently or as part of a facility team to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Perform light plumbing repairs such as fixing faucets, toilets, or drain blockages without needing a licensed plumber.
- Assist with furniture setup, workstation moves, or minor renovations as directed by building management.
Preferred:
- Thrives in environments where no two days are exactly the same and work has a direct impact.
- Willing to assist with minor renovations, painting, drywall repair, or furniture assembly.
- Values reliability, resourcefulness, and technical skill in keeping buildings safe and functional.
- Comfortable using hand tools, ladders, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
- Comfortable working independently or alongside janitorial, security, or vendor teams.
Benefits:
- Be part of a close-knit crew — we support each other, on and off the clock.
- Supportive management — when something’s not working, we *actually* fix it.
- Plenty of autonomy — we don’t hover, we help.
- Every day’s a little different — fix, adjust, upgrade, repeat.
- Health insurance, dental, and vision — because you’re worth the coverage.
With time, you’ll grow confident using drills, screwdrivers, meters, and other essential tools of the trade. We’ll teach you how to track work orders, document repairs, and communicate clearly with tenants and staff. As you gain confidence, we’ll trust you with more independent tasks, always under supervision. You’ll be supported, not judged — we know you’re new, and we’re here to help you improve every step of the way. You’ll be introduced to fire systems, water pumps, security panels, and everything else that supports daily life. You’ll be part of a team that keeps buildings running, clean, and safe — and you’ll take pride in that. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, steady learning, and visible progress. If you’re ready to go from “I don’t know how” to “I’ve got this,” we’re ready to help you start the journey. If you’re ready to trade inexperience for real skills and a steady path forward, we’re ready to train you.
