Description:
We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern who lives inside the For You Page, watches YouTube Shorts before bed, and knows how to cut fast and scroll-stopping content. ” You don’t need a full portfolio — just a good eye, a basic reel, and a serious drive to improve every week. You’ll help sort through hours of raw footage, cut out filler, balance audio levels, and shape conversations into something engaging and watchable. You’ll learn how to mix talking heads with b-roll, screenshots, screen recordings, and animations to keep things visually fresh. You’ll trim long videos down to short bangers that hit under 60 seconds but feel complete and compelling. You’ll help format talking-head clips, remix trending audios, and test which hooks actually work on real viewers. You’ll learn to color correct, mix audio, apply transitions (without overdoing it), and export for different platforms. You’ll help brainstorm angles, titles, first lines, and swipe-worthy thumbnails that boost engagement. You’ll create multiple versions for different platforms — 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok, 1:1 for Instagram, you get the idea. You’ll keep files clean, exports optimized, and timelines organized — because chaos is not creative.
Basic Qualifications:
- Stay up to date with new editing software, plugins, and video trends to enhance skillset and production value.
- Work under tight deadlines and manage multiple editing projects at once while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Keep up with editing trends on social platforms (jump cuts, text overlays, meme timing) to keep content fresh and shareable.
- Organize and manage project files, assets, and backups for easy access and future edits—maintaining clean and efficient workflows.
- Work with subtitles, captions, or translations to make videos accessible and globally adaptable.
Preferred:
- Able to produce video variants for A/B testing, localization, or platform-specific goals.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and collaborative creative environment.
- Understands storytelling, pacing, transitions, and audio syncing to create engaging content.
- Open to learning new plugins, effects, or editing techniques to stay up to date.
- Can work with b-roll, interview cuts, stock footage, or client-provided assets.
Benefits:
- We provide raw content, brand assets, and paid tools — but your eye and timing bring the story to life.
- Your edits will be published, shared, and seen — not lost in a folder.
- Access to premium tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut, CapCut Pro, Epidemic Sound, and more.
- You’ll collaborate with creative directors, writers, designers, and marketers — we’re a team, not a handoff chain.
- You’re not “just editing” — you’re shaping attention, emotion, and message.
You’ll be encouraged to experiment — not just follow templates, but bring your own flair when it fits. You’ll edit for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels, maybe even LinkedIn if we’re feeling wild — and learn how each platform thinks differently. You’ll improve your skills not just technically, but editorially — learning to feel pacing, build tension, and know when a moment needs to breathe. You’ll see how professional teams hit deadlines, manage creative pressure, and still find ways to have fun between exports. You’ll become faster, more organized, and more confident in your ability to take messy input and turn it into clean deliverables. You’ll finish this internship with more confidence, sharper skills, and work you’re proud to include in your reel. If you love timelines, tight cuts, and the thrill of making a video *feel* right — this is your editing playground. You’ll walk away with dozens of published clips and real proof that you can edit for attention, not just aesthetics. If you think in clips, hear beats in your head, and genuinely enjoy finding “the hook” — this internship was made for you.
