Description:

We’re hiring a dedicated Discord Moderator to help manage and grow our online community, ensuring a positive environment for all members. You’ll be responsible for enforcing community guidelines, ensuring a respectful and welcoming environment for all members. You’ll assist in moderating conversations, identifying disruptive behavior, and addressing any issues to maintain a safe environment. You’ll collaborate with other moderators to resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and ensure that all community guidelines are followed. You’ll help resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and provide support to users in need, ensuring smooth interactions. You’ll work closely with other moderators to implement and enforce server rules, ensuring consistency and fairness. You’ll be responsible for onboarding new members, answering questions, and guiding them on how to navigate the server. You’ll assist in creating and updating server rules, guidelines, and FAQs to keep the community informed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be available during assigned shifts or check-ins to ensure consistent moderation coverage across time zones.
• Avoid power-tripping or playing favorites—moderation is about fairness, not ego.
• Work with other mods to stay consistent—so members don’t get mixed signals from different team members.
• Support events, announcements, or partnerships by pinning messages, tagging roles, and helping manage live interactions.
• Answer member questions, resolve minor conflicts, and create a friendly, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.

Preferred:

• Willing to learn how to use moderation tools like MEE6, Dyno, or Carl-bot.
• Background or interest in online communities, gaming, education, or fan spaces.
• Enjoys being part of a team and working behind the scenes to help things run smoothly.
• Willing to take feedback and improve their moderation skills over time.
• Wants to help maintain a welcoming, inclusive space for people from different backgrounds.
