Description:

We’re hiring a Loader Trainee to join our food distribution warehouse, where speed, cleanliness, and care are essential to keeping stores and restaurants fully stocked. You’ll assist with unloading shipments that arrive late in the day, scanning and sorting goods into the correct zones. You’ll be trained to identify container numbers, cargo types, and load plans to ensure everything moves according to schedule. You’ll help prepare outbound trucks for early-morning dispatch, arranging packages by route and delivery priority. You’ll help prepare shipments by loading trucks with care, balancing loads to prevent shifting during transport. You’ll support receiving by checking delivery slips and helping match materials to work orders or zone labels. You’ll support loading trucks for early deliveries, matching items to store orders and verifying quantities against pick lists. You’ll assist in maintaining clean, organized staging areas so workers can access supplies quickly without tripping hazards. You’ll work at a steady pace, learning how to stay focused during repetitive tasks and manage energy through the night.

Basic Qualifications:

• Adapt to changing priorities and load schedules during peak periods or weather delays.
• Follow weight limits and stacking guidelines to ensure safe and balanced loads.
• Be mindful of fragile, hazardous, or high-value items that require special handling.
• Keep loading areas clean, clear of obstacles, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Assist in wrapping pallets or securing loads with straps, shrink wrap, or other materials.

Preferred:

• Experience working in warehouses, shipping yards, or delivery services involving manual loading and unloading tasks.
• Willing to assist in labeling, scanning, and checking items before or after loading.
• Willing to participate in cross-training or assist in packing, pallet wrapping, or sorting when required.
• Team-oriented and capable of communicating clearly with forklift drivers, warehouse clerks, or logistics teams.
• Thrives in environments where teamwork, strength, and precision are essential to success.

You’ll assist in separating damaged or spoiled products and reporting them to the shift lead.
