Description:

We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees for our blood donation center — no experience needed, just enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a warm, welcoming attitude. You’ll learn how to draw blood with confidence, precision, and compassion — whether from children, adults, or elderly patients. You’ll be trained to draw blood from patients on wards, in the ER, and sometimes while they sleep — with care, quiet, and respect. We’ll teach you how to collect samples with minimal disruption, follow strict safety protocols, and navigate the hospital calmly at night. You’ll be trained in infection control, patient identification, and how to make each collection quick, clean, and as comfortable as possible. You’ll be taught how to set up collection bags, label samples, and follow strict tracking and storage protocols. You’ll assist in both outpatient clinics and hospital settings, seeing everything from routine labs to urgent collections. We’ll show you how to handle lab requests, maintain records, and manage your station with professionalism and care. Some days will be challenging — but the small wins, like a brave smile or a high five after a clean draw, make it incredibly rewarding.

Basic Qualifications:

• Draw blood from patients of all ages using safe, sterile techniques.
• Greet patients with kindness and ease their anxiety about the procedure.
• Keep accurate logs of samples taken and note any complications or patient reactions.
• Label vials clearly and accurately to prevent mix-ups in lab processing.
• Adjust techniques for patients with special needs or medical conditions.

Preferred:

• Comfortable working with difficult draws, small veins, pediatric or elderly patients.
• Open to flexible scheduling including weekends, early mornings, or rotating shifts.
• Capable of maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Pays close attention to patient identity verification and test requisition accuracy.
• Enjoys working hands-on and supporting diagnostic teams through accurate specimen collection.
