Description:

We’re seeking an Emergency Room Nurse who can think fast, move smart, and stay calm in the middle of the unexpected — someone who brings order to chaos and compassion to crisis moments. You’ll work with individuals who require long-term or chronic care, getting to know their routines, personalities, and progress in detail. You’ll collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create and follow treatment plans. You’ll assess patient needs, respond to changes in condition, and act quickly in urgent situations with clarity and confidence. You’ll coordinate with physicians, surgeons, and specialists to stabilize patients and prepare for transfer or discharge. You’ll prepare patients for tests, provide pre- and post-op support, and make sure they understand what’s happening and why. You’ll communicate clearly with patients and families, offering updates and reassurance — even when emotions are running high. You’ll notice subtle changes in behavior or condition, often before they become urgent — because you’re paying attention. You’ll help train new staff and maintain readiness for mass-casualty or critical care overflow events.

Basic Qualifications:

• Assist during code blues, emergencies, or rapid response events with focus and precision.
• Monitor medical equipment and alert physicians to any concerning changes.
• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions by checking vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
• Help families understand conditions, comfort options, or end-of-life care with empathy.
• Follow strict hygiene, infection control, and hospital safety protocols at all times.

Preferred:

• Familiar with operating medical equipment and following standard hygiene and infection control protocols.
• Values compassion, diligence, and professionalism in every patient encounter.
• Understands how to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or intensive care units.
• Able to assess patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and implement care plans.
• Familiar with EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Meditech for digital documentation.
