Description:

We’re hiring a talented and creative Video Editor to join our remote team and produce high-impact videos for various platforms. You’ll be responsible for editing video footage, adding effects, and creating final videos that capture the brand’s message and tone. You’ll work closely with the creative team to ensure the final product meets the vision and requirements of each project. You’ll be involved in all aspects of video production, including cutting, trimming, adding effects, sound design, and color correction. You’ll ensure the video content is engaging, visually compelling, and optimized for each platform, from YouTube to Instagram and beyond. You’ll help incorporate music, sound effects, voiceovers, and graphics to enhance the quality of the video and the viewer’s experience. You’ll collaborate with other creatives to brainstorm and execute new video concepts and ideas that resonate with viewers. You’ll manage multiple video editing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising on quality.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help brainstorm new video formats, hook ideas, or editing styles to improve viewer retention and engagement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues calmly—software bugs, render failures, or syncing problems are part of the job.
• Provide rough cuts, versions, and final renders with clear communication on what’s included and what needs review.
• Follow brand guidelines (fonts, colors, tone) while leaving room for flair and experimentation.
• Stay updated with video trends, platform algorithms (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, IG Reels), and viral editing styles.

Preferred:

• Able to work with various footage formats, frame sizes, and aspect ratios.
• Capable of editing under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and creativity.
• Can handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver assets on time.
• Comfortable working with vertical and horizontal formats across multiple platforms.
• Understands pacing, storytelling, and transitions to keep viewers engaged.
