Description:

We’re looking for a Film Director who knows how to turn a vision into a visceral experience — someone who leads with intent, collaborates with empathy, and crafts stories that resonate on screen and beyond. You’ll be responsible for shaping the creative direction of each production, guiding it from early ideation through final delivery. You’ll collaborate with writers to refine character arcs and ensure every scene serves the story’s deeper themes. We expect you to direct talent with sensitivity and clarity, drawing out performances that feel raw, layered, and alive. You’ll work closely with DPs and production designers to craft a distinct visual style that enhances the narrative without overpowering it. We’ll count on your ability to unify a diverse crew under one creative vision, while remaining open to input and adaptation. We’ll rely on your ability to inspire trust, lead with confidence, and adapt quickly when production challenges arise. On set, you’ll lead with clarity and calm, navigating the realities of tight schedules without compromising creative intent. Post-production will involve working closely with editors, sound designers, and composers to shape mood and rhythm.

Basic Qualifications:

• Advocate for your vision while respecting the collaborative nature of filmmaking.
• Work closely with producers, writers, and department heads to align vision and logistics.
• Keep the crew inspired, focused, and aligned—even when energy dips after long days.
• Review and approve shot lists, storyboards, and schedules before each production day.
• Provide final approval on the film’s pacing, tone, soundtrack, and overall feel.

Preferred:

• Experience reviewing dailies, guiding editors, and overseeing the post-production process.
• Passionate about crafting visually striking scenes that serve narrative and character arcs.
• Background or strong passion in filmmaking, directing, screenwriting, or visual arts.
• Experience directing short films, commercials, music videos, or narrative projects from pre-production to post.
• Able to adapt quickly to challenges on set and make decisions under time pressure.
