Description:

We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee to support disaster response teams — ideal for someone who wants to learn how emergency care works in high-stress, unpredictable environments. You’ll begin by supporting paramedics who respond to farms, villages, and rural roads where time and distance are critical factors. You’ll help prepare for long transports by checking oxygen supply, battery life, medications, and equipment before each shift. You’ll be taught how to help establish field care zones, prioritize patients, and support paramedics during mass-casualty triage. You’ll learn how to monitor patients during transit, recording vitals, comfort levels, and any changes in condition. You’ll assist in lifting patients from hazardous environments and supporting their transfer to emergency vehicles. You’ll help calm family members on scene, explain procedures clearly, and reassure patients who are far from professional care. You’ll help restock and decontaminate gear after each mission, preparing for the next call without delay. You’ll be trained in basic rescue tools and how to move safely around unstable or dangerous areas under supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be the calm in the chaos—someone people trust in their most vulnerable moments.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in medical records and reports.
• Recognize when advanced hospital care is needed and make timely transport decisions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow legal, ethical, and medical guidelines at all times.
• Assess situations for potential hazards to ensure the safety of the team and patient before intervention.

Preferred:

• Able to remain calm and focused during emergencies, including mass casualty incidents or high-risk environments.
• Understands medical protocols, triage methods, and scope of practice defined by local or national regulations.
• Comfortable assessing patient conditions, stabilizing trauma cases, and communicating findings to hospital staff.
• Wants to grow into roles like Flight Paramedic, EMS Supervisor, or Critical Care Transport Specialist.
• Organized in documenting patient vitals, treatments, and interventions using electronic or written patient care reports (PCRs).
