Description:

We’re hiring an Electrician to support the maintenance and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings — perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, responsive, and experienced in keeping public spaces powered and safe. You’ll perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in offices, retail centers, schools, hotels, and multi-use properties. You’ll read and interpret residential blueprints, floor plans, and load calculations to plan efficient and code-compliant layouts. You’ll troubleshoot household issues such as tripped breakers, flickering lights, faulty outlets, and overloaded circuits. You’ll upgrade old wiring in kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces to support modern appliances and devices. You’ll work with drywall, wood framing, attics, basements, and crawlspaces to complete hidden wiring jobs cleanly and efficiently. You’ll assist in retrofitting buildings with energy-efficient lighting, motion sensors, and smart paneling as needed. You’ll use meters, IR cameras, megohm testers, and oscilloscopes to monitor performance and identify problems. You’ll coordinate with general contractors, HVAC techs, and plumbers on site to ensure smooth cross-trade workflow.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work safely on ladders, rooftops, or in crawlspaces while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Take pride in work that quite literally keeps the lights on—safely and reliably.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and circuit schematics accurately.
• Handle emergency service calls, power outages, or urgent repairs as needed.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.

Preferred:

• Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
• Able to work under pressure and respond to emergency electrical calls when needed.
• Skilled in working with conduit, circuit breakers, outlets, lighting systems, and control panels.
• Understands the handling of low-voltage systems, grounding, and surge protection methods.
• Willing to perform work in confined spaces, attics, rooftops, or underground locations when required.

You’ll be expected to work in wet, dark, hot, or confined conditions, sometimes with limited information and time pressure. You’ll maintain detailed job logs, including materials used, hours worked, and issues found during service calls. You’ll be trained to respond quickly to power failures, control faults, or shutdown scenarios with calm precision. You’ll rotate between projects, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repairs depending on plant demand. You’ll work independently or in teams, coordinating with contractors, inspectors, and other trades on site. You’ll mentor junior team members when needed, sharing your knowledge of troubleshooting, layouts, and safe practices. Experience in single-family homes, townhouses, and small apartments is a plus, but not required if you're eager to learn.
