Description:
We’re searching for an Online Community Support specialist who lives and breathes digital connection — someone who knows how to make an online space feel warm, safe, and active. You’ll be the steady, positive presence that keeps our digital spaces running smoothly and feeling human. You’ll moderate discussions, respond to comments, resolve member concerns, and make sure our community guidelines are followed with fairness and empathy. This isn’t just moderation — it’s community care. You’ll also monitor for feedback, bugs, or emerging trends and relay those insights to the product and support teams so we can improve quickly and stay connected to our users. You’ll help organize events, post updates, create engagement prompts, and keep things running smoothly day to day.
Basic Qualifications:
- Stay on top of platform updates and features (e.g., Discord threads, Reddit moderation tools, etc.).
- Foster conversations by asking thoughtful questions, sharing updates, and spotlighting community wins.
- Continuously improve the onboarding experience by testing welcome flows, pinned posts, or intro channels.
- Monitor conversations to ensure discussions stay respectful, helpful, and aligned with community guidelines.
- Work with the content or marketing team to amplify product news, features, and announcements in a community-friendly voice.
Preferred:
- Open to learning about community health metrics, engagement strategies, and user lifecycle.
- Background or strong interest in communications, psychology, digital media, or customer success.
- Has experience working with or participating in communities built around a product, brand, or hobby.
- Can identify and handle spam, inappropriate behavior, or trolling calmly and professionally.
- Comfortable analyzing user sentiment or compiling feedback from the community.
