Description:

We’re looking for a motivated Translator Trainee to join our team and help bridge the gap between languages in digital environments. You’ll help translate documents, website content, emails, subtitles, and short-form materials between two or more languages. We’ll teach you how to keep translations short, consistent, and intuitive — so they fit design without losing clarity. You’ll learn how to work with string tables, keys, and variable-based content like “You have 3 new messages. Expect to work on YouTube videos, interviews, podcasts, courses, and short-form content that needs to be understood across languages. You’ll also help review AI-generated drafts, correct errors, adjust phrasing, and polish translations for clarity. You’ll collaborate with designers and developers to keep meaning and UX intact across languages. You’ll also gain experience adjusting tone, catching cultural references, and translating jokes, idioms, and metaphors accurately. You’ll join feedback sessions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and learn how language shapes user experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Manage your time efficiently, especially when switching between languages or topics.
• Stay current with language trends, regional variations, and industry-specific vocabulary.
• Be extra careful with legal, medical, or sensitive content where precision is critical.
• Proofread and self-check translations before delivery to minimize errors.
• Handle confidential materials with discretion and professionalism.

• Background or interest in linguistics, foreign languages, international relations, or content localization.
