Description:

We’re hiring a Cashier who knows how to make people feel welcome — someone who brings a friendly smile, clear communication, and great energy to every shift. You’ll receive full training on how to use the register, scan items, process payments, and handle simple returns. You’ll begin by shadowing experienced staff and gradually take on more responsibility as your confidence grows. You’ll greet customers warmly, answer basic product or store questions, and make sure they leave feeling appreciated. You’ll assist with bagging items, answering product questions, and helping direct customers if they need support in other departments. You’ll help restock front-of-store merchandise and maintain tidy, inviting checkout lanes. You’ll stay cool during rushes, multitasking smoothly and always offering a thank-you with a smile. You’ll participate in daily team huddles, share observations, and help create a collaborative, helpful environment. You’ll help prepare for opening or closing shifts, counting drawers and making sure your station is ready to go.

Basic Qualifications:

• Resolve pricing errors or minor customer concerns with patience and professionalism.
• Process returns and exchanges accurately while checking receipts and item condition.
• Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked with bags, receipt paper, and other supplies.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene guidelines—especially when handling food or sanitizing equipment.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors if issues or unusual transactions arise.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Head Cashier, Customer Service Lead, or Store Supervisor.
• Familiar with safety and loss prevention procedures, including recognizing suspicious behavior.
• Able to communicate clearly with coworkers, managers, and customers of all ages.
• Values honesty, reliability, and consistency in every transaction.
• Willing to answer product-related questions or direct customers to the right department.
