Description:

We’re hiring a Cleaner Trainee to support hygiene and safety in a healthcare environment, where cleanliness directly impacts patient well-being. You’ll start by shadowing experienced cleaners to understand daily routines, cleaning zones, and the order of tasks. You’ll be taught how to properly use cleaning tools like mops, vacuums, squeegees, and dusters for different surfaces. You’ll be trained to handle trash collection from bins throughout the mall and ensure proper disposal at designated zones. You’ll help manage waste — sorting general, recyclable, and medical waste according to hospital policy. You’ll help restock supplies like soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and waste bags during your rounds. You’ll learn to follow a checklist to ensure no detail is missed — from light switches to door handles and windowsills. You’ll assist in dusting display areas, signage, and decorative elements that require extra care and reach tools. You’ll wear safety gear and learn to place caution signs properly when working with wet floors or cleaning chemicals.

Basic Qualifications:

• Wear appropriate protective gear like gloves or masks as needed for specific tasks.
• Take pride in the small details—clean windows, shiny floors, and fresh smells matter.
• Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor when working in occupied spaces.
• Follow checklists to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and consistently.
• Handle sensitive areas with extra care, such as medical rooms, computer equipment, or confidential spaces.

Preferred:

• Familiar with using basic cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, brooms, and microfiber cloths.
• Willing to adapt to changing tasks or respond to urgent cleaning needs when requested by supervisors.
• Able to lift light to moderate loads and complete physically active tasks throughout the shift.
• Organized with time management, ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned within the scheduled time.
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a janitorial or housekeeping team.
