Description:

We’re hiring an enthusiastic Online English Tutor to help students improve their language skills through personalized lessons. You’ll design personalized lesson plans that focus on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, speaking, and writing. You’ll teach English to students of various ages and proficiency levels, adapting your approach to meet their individual learning styles. You’ll provide students with feedback on assignments and practice, offering strategies to help them improve their skills. You’ll assist students with pronunciation, accent reduction, and other key areas of language acquisition. You’ll assist with exam preparation, helping students review for tests like TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge English exams. You’ll monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans as necessary to ensure effective learning outcomes. You’ll create a fun and interactive learning environment, using multimedia, real-life scenarios, and games to keep students engaged.

Basic Qualifications:

• Adapt teaching methods and pacing to suit learners from different backgrounds, ages, or learning styles.
• Encourage shy or beginner learners through praise, repetition, and gentle correction.
• Foster a friendly, encouraging atmosphere that builds student confidence and motivation to speak English.
• Provide regular updates to parents (for younger learners) or progress summaries for adult learners upon request.
• Assign homework, reading tasks, or writing exercises that reinforce class topics and support independent study.

Preferred:

• Comfortable teaching speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Open to working with students across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
• Excited to help learners reach personal, academic, or professional language goals.
• Interested in continuous learning and improving teaching techniques.
• Knows how to build rapport and make students feel safe to speak and ask questions.
