We’re searching for an Online Course Assistant who thrives in digital classrooms and genuinely enjoys helping others learn. You’ll be the go-to person for both students and instructors, making sure lessons go live on time, assignments are tracked, and nobody feels lost in the digital shuffle. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between instructors and learners — organizing course materials, managing discussion boards, responding to student questions, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll respond to student questions via chat, email, or discussion boards, provide helpful reminders about assignments, and assist instructors with uploading content, managing schedules, and tracking engagement. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask without losing focus. If you can catch typos, fix broken links, and gently remind people about deadlines — all in the same hour — you’ll thrive here. This isn’t just about keeping things on schedule — it’s about creating an online space where students feel supported and instructors feel like they’re not doing it all alone. Whether it’s organizing resources, answering FAQs, or ensuring the course flows smoothly from week to week, your work will have a big impact on student success. You don’t need to know every learning platform out there, but you’re quick to figure things out and resourceful when answers aren’t obvious.
Basic Qualifications:
- Help enforce academic honesty by spotting suspicious patterns or duplicate answers.
- Share suggestions with instructors on how to improve clarity, pace, or engagement.
- Create and maintain FAQs, guides, or walkthroughs to reduce repetitive support questions.
- Organize student queries or support tickets by category to streamline resolution.
- Track student progress and flag anyone who might be falling behind or needs a nudge.
Preferred:
- Strong written communication skills for replying to student questions and providing updates.
- Pays attention to tone and clarity when writing instructions or support responses.
- Eager to assist instructors in managing content uploads, announcements, and assignments.
- Comfortable navigating platforms like Teachable, Thinkific, Moodle, or Google Classroom.
- Enjoys helping others stay organized, on track, and motivated through digital tools.
