Description:

We’re offering an entry-level opportunity to become a Building Maintenance Technician, no experience required — just a willingness to learn and show up on time. You’ll be part of the crew that keeps the building running smoothly, from light fixtures to water systems. We’ll train you from the ground up — showing you how to safely use tools, read maintenance logs, and follow procedures. You’ll begin by shadowing experienced maintenance staff and learning the basics of building systems. Every task is a learning opportunity — whether it’s fixing a leaking faucet or testing a smoke detector. As a trainee, you’ll be expected to observe closely, take notes, and help where needed without hesitation. You’ll assist in setting up and maintaining maintenance logs, tracking what’s been fixed and what still needs work. You’ll help with routine inspections, note any issues, and assist in minor repairs across the building. You’ll work in different parts of the building, from stairwells to service rooms to rooftops — gaining a full perspective.

Basic Qualifications:

• Test and maintain emergency systems such as backup generators, exit lighting, and fire extinguishers according to schedule.
• Perform light plumbing repairs such as fixing faucets, toilets, or drain blockages without needing a licensed plumber.
• Respond to service requests for minor repairs, fixture replacements, leaks, clogs, or general building upkeep.
• Follow maintenance schedules for inspections, lubrication, calibration, and other recurring upkeep.
• Ultimately, keep the building running smoothly, safely, and efficiently by solving problems before they become bigger issues.

Preferred:

• Thrives in environments where no two days are exactly the same and work has a direct impact.
• Comfortable working independently or alongside janitorial, security, or vendor teams.
• Able to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues.
• Able to inspect and troubleshoot issues with lighting, locks, doors, restrooms, or appliances.
• Familiar with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
