Description:
We’re hiring a Shoe Repair Specialist for our mall-based service kiosk — ideal for someone who’s fast, friendly, and ready to restore footwear in a high-traffic setting. You’ll work on popular brands like Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Vans, and Converse, restoring structure, grip, and appearance. You’ll be trained to replace soles and heels, patch tears, restitch seams, and restore worn-down parts using professional tools. You’ll be trained to repair Italian soles, replace Louboutin heels, re-glue delicate welts, and color-match high-value finishes. You’ll assess each shoe quickly and explain repair options clearly, offering honest timelines and pricing. You’ll help explain repair options to clients who may not know what’s possible, building trust through transparency and skill. You’ll work with synthetic materials, foam, canvas, rubber, and glued constructions that differ from traditional leather shoes. You’ll document repairs, log materials used, and track turnaround time for client orders and repeat customers. You’ll support repair of matching accessories like leather bags, wallets, or belts using small-scale restoration tools.
Basic Qualifications:
- Use machinery such as grinders, stitching machines, and presses safely and precisely.
- Work independently or as part of a small shop team in a focused, hands-on environment.
- Be precise and patient—small mistakes can affect comfort and durability.
- Sew torn seams, reattach straps, and reinforce weak areas for long-lasting results.
- Apply protective treatments like waterproofing, dyes, or sole guards when requested.
Preferred:
- Able to handle a high volume of repairs while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating and maintaining shop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Open to experimenting with modern adhesives, repair materials, or eco-friendly solutions.
- Experienced in communicating with customers about service expectations and pricing clearly and respectfully.
- Thrives in quiet, skill-focused environments where patience and technique make a difference.
Benefits:
- The opportunity to work with a variety of materials — leather, suede, fabric, and more.
- Paid training and professional development — learn new techniques and styles to stay ahead of trends.
- You’ll help clients maintain their favorite shoes — and the gratitude they show is always rewarding.
- A job that celebrates craftsmanship — you’re not just fixing shoes, you’re preserving art.
- Job stability — people will always need shoes repaired, from everyday wear to special occasions.
You’ll interact with clients respectfully, respecting their space and maintaining a clean, efficient presence during service. You’ll work independently, managing your time and route efficiently with support from a central scheduling team. You’ll be trained to work on specialty items like boots, orthopedic footwear, designer brands, and even bags or belts. You’ll assist with light repairs of belts, bags, and zippers as part of premium mobile accessory care services. You’ll receive mentorship from experienced cobblers who value patience, quality, and reputation. You’ll interact directly with hundreds of people each week — so a positive attitude and neat appearance matter. No prior experience is required — just steady hands, a driver's license, and a respect for practical craftsmanship. If you're ready to fix soles and save days without a storefront, we’re ready to train you for the road.
