Description:

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to help produce high-quality audio content for our podcast. You’ll be responsible for editing raw podcast recordings, ensuring they are clear, polished, and engaging for our audience. You’ll collaborate with hosts and producers to refine content, removing unnecessary elements and enhancing the storytelling. You’ll clean up audio files, remove background noise, and enhance sound quality to ensure professional-grade recordings. You’ll add sound effects, transitions, and music where needed to improve the overall listening experience and make it more engaging. You’ll ensure that all podcast episodes are well-paced, removing filler words and unnecessary segments to keep the content flowing. You’ll collaborate with the creative team to incorporate feedback, ensuring that each episode aligns with the overall vision of the podcast. You’ll assist in creating promotional snippets, teasers, or audiograms to promote episodes across social media and other platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

• Balance audio levels, apply EQ and compression, and clean up vocals to ensure clarity and consistency across all speakers.
• Organize and label audio files clearly, delivering final episodes in the required format (e.g., MP3, WAV) and bitrate for hosting platforms.
• Perform quality control checks before publishing to catch issues like echo, misalignment, or missing segments.
• Support multi-track editing, remote recordings, and interviews done via platforms like Riverside, SquadCast, or Zoom.
• Edit raw podcast recordings into polished, professional episodes—removing filler words, pauses, background noise, and technical glitches.

Preferred:

• Understands audio editing fundamentals including trimming, noise reduction, and leveling.
• Willing to give creative input on improving audio quality, structure, or listener engagement.
• Comfortable organizing and naming audio files for ongoing series management.
• Can add intro/outro music, transitions, sponsor messages, or sound effects as needed.
• Familiar with editing different podcast formats such as interviews, solo episodes, roundtables, or storytelling.

You’ll organize raw podcast files and edit them efficiently, ensuring that no content is lost in the process. You’ll ensure all episodes are uploaded, including proper tagging, descriptions, and metadata for search optimization. This remote role provides flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the success of an exciting podcast.
