Description:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher Intern who’s ready to step into the classroom and grow through real-world experience. As a trainee, you’ll observe real classroom dynamics, support students in their day-to-day learning, and gradually take on more responsibilities with guidance. You’ll help facilitate fun, age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and make learning feel like play. You’ll assist with group activities, games, and interactive lessons that make core subjects feel fun and accessible. You’ll sit with small groups to support early readers, answer questions during activities, and celebrate small wins with high fives and encouragement. You’ll read stories aloud, guide art projects, check math worksheets, and listen patiently to countless important stories from 6-year-olds. You’ll help create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, respected, and excited to learn. You’ll learn how to adjust to different student personalities and support those who may be struggling emotionally or academically. You’ll build relationships with students by being present, consistent, and genuinely interested in their progress and well-being.

Basic Qualifications:

• Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and team meetings.
• Tailor support for students with special needs or learning accommodations, working closely with specialists when needed.
• Maintain clear and consistent classroom routines that support focus, creativity, and behavior management.
• Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, activities, and observations.
• Help students navigate conflicts, build friendships, and learn emotional self-regulation.

Preferred:

• Comfortable using various instructional strategies including group work, hands-on activities, and technology integration.
• Familiar with assessing student progress through quizzes, observations, and formative assessments.
• Experience planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons in core subjects such as math, reading, science, and social studies.
• Thrives in energetic, creative classrooms where every day brings new opportunities to teach and grow.
• Able to foster critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork through project-based learning and storytelling.
