Description:
We’re hiring Auto Mechanic Trainees who are ready to start over — whether you’re coming from retail, construction, IT, or a desk job you were never passionate about. You don’t need years of garage experience — just a genuine interest in how things work, a responsible attitude, and a readiness to grow skill by skill. This is a hands-on role from day one: you’ll learn directly in the shop, not in a classroom, guided by certified mechanics who’ve been in your shoes. You’ll use both your hands and your head — combining experience with scan tools, software, and old-school mechanical instinct. You’ll start with foundational tasks: oil changes, fluid checks, brake inspections, tire rotations — and understand what’s happening, not just “follow the checklist. You’ll rotate tires, change filters, top off fluids, inspect brakes — and understand what’s happening, not just “do the task. You’ll complete repairs efficiently without cutting corners — because quality always outranks speed in our shop. You’ll communicate clearly with service writers, parts managers, and customers when needed — with no jargon, just straight talk. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes (safely), and learn the difference between guessing and diagnosing.
Basic Qualifications:
- Assist in training junior technicians or apprentices on shop procedures, tool usage, and repair best practices.
- Monitor for recurring issues or recall-related problems and notify customers or service writers accordingly.
- Order parts as needed or coordinate with parts departments to ensure timely access to required components.
- Work in coordination with other technicians, painters, body shop staff, or tow drivers depending on the repair scope.
- Maintain inventory of tools, request replacements, and ensure calibration of diagnostic equipment when needed.
Preferred:
- Willing to maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and personal workstation.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems including engines, brakes, and suspensions.
- Familiar with using diagnostic tools such as OBD-II scanners, multimeters, and pressure gauges.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting service manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair instructions.
- Physically fit to lift heavy components, work under vehicles, and operate power tools safely.
Benefits:
- A chance to make a real difference in people’s lives — one car at a time.
- Employee referral bonuses — if you know a great mechanic, bring them on.
- Learn and grow with access to training programs — we invest in your skills.
- Opportunities to advance into senior mechanic or shop management roles.
- Access to a network of experienced pros — teamwork makes the dream work.
” You’ll receive guidance and feedback every step of the way, so you’re building confidence as you build skill — not guessing or faking it. You’ll develop habits that last a career: clean workspace, double-checks before calling it done, and pride in doing it properly. You’ll earn respect by doing things right, cleaning up after yourself, checking torque specs, and not being afraid to say “I’m not sure — can you show me? ” You’ll be part of a team that’s proud to teach — because many of us also started in other industries before we found our way to the shop floor. You’ll learn to take responsibility — for the work, the tools, the space, and your own progress — because respect is earned here through consistency. You’ll finish this program with real hands-on experience, a team behind you, and a clear path forward — not just a paycheck. You’ll finish the program not just with skills, but with confidence, direction, and a team behind you that’s ready to keep investing in your future. If you’re ready to build something real with your hands — and want more than just “a job” — we’re ready to teach you a trade that lasts a lifetime.
