Description:

We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee to assist in rural and remote response units — ideal for someone who wants to learn how emergency care works far from city hospitals and support systems. You’ll train alongside professionals who respond to large-scale incidents such as traffic pileups, building collapses, fires, or natural disasters. You’ll help prepare for long transports by checking oxygen supply, battery life, medications, and equipment before each shift. You’ll be trained to take vital signs, apply basic first aid, and prepare stretchers and backboards for safe patient handling. You’ll support documentation for each patient encounter — from basic care to emergency transports. You’ll help guide guests to care areas discreetly and communicate with event staff when assistance is needed. You’ll observe how paramedics keep detailed transfer logs, manage medications-in-transit, and ensure documentation is accurate and timely. You’ll be part of a calm but focused environment where precision, compassion, and professionalism define the experience. You’ll support team hygiene routines by cleaning and disinfecting the ambulance between transports and after patient contact.

Basic Qualifications:

• Recognize when advanced hospital care is needed and make timely transport decisions.
• Be the calm in the chaos—someone people trust in their most vulnerable moments.
• Calmly handle incidents ranging from car accidents and heart attacks to overdoses and childbirth.
• Participate in debriefings or peer support after traumatic incidents to maintain mental health.
• Help train new paramedics, EMTs, or interns when assigned to do so.

Preferred:

• Knows how to safely lift and transport patients using stretchers, backboards, and proper body mechanics.
• Certified and licensed as a paramedic with completed EMT and advanced life support (ALS) training.
• Organized with inventory checks, medication logs, and vehicle readiness procedures.
• Pays close attention to symptoms, injury mechanisms, and situational awareness while on scene.
• Willing to mentor junior EMTs or participate in public health outreach and first-aid education.
