Description:

We’re hiring a Kindergarten Teacher Trainee — and we strongly welcome men who want to bring calm, strength, and kindness into early childhood education. We’ll train you in how to turn games into lessons, stories into learning moments, and questions into conversation starters. You’ll assist lead educators in managing small groups, adapting activities, and creating calm, predictable classroom routines. You’ll help create a warm, structured space where every child feels safe, seen, and encouraged to be themselves. Expect slow progress some days — and the deepest joy when a child makes eye contact, speaks a new word, or joins a group activity for the first time. Expect crayons on the floor, tiny voices calling your name, and moments of pure joy when something finally clicks for a child. You’ll discover how valuable sensory play, imagination, and free choice are in helping young minds grow confidently. We’ll teach you how to recognize developmental milestones and when to simply give space for natural growth.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay updated with early education best practices and child development research.
• Keep the classroom tidy, organized, and stocked with learning materials.
• Observe each child’s development and document key moments or concerns.
• Model respectful behavior and help children resolve conflicts in a healthy way.
• Guide children through early teamwork, cooperation, and sharing skills.

Preferred:

• Understands how to support early literacy, numeracy, and motor skill development.
• Background or formal education in early childhood education, child psychology, or pedagogy.
• Able to create structured lesson plans that include storytelling, play, music, and hands-on activities.
• Knows how to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom culture.
• Open to planning seasonal events, performances, or classroom celebrations.
