Description:
We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern who wants to learn how long-form content like YouTube shows, interviews, and podcasts come together behind the scenes. You’ll help us turn raw footage into vertical videos that grab attention in the first second and never let go. You’ll add captions that actually keep people watching — synced perfectly, styled cleanly, and never late. You’ll learn how to mix talking heads with b-roll, screenshots, screen recordings, and animations to keep things visually fresh. You’ll trim long videos down to short bangers that hit under 60 seconds but feel complete and compelling. You’ll be in charge of little things that matter: naming files clearly, exporting correctly, and triple-checking timestamps in the show notes. You’re fluent in Premiere, Final Cut, or DaVinci — and you know your way around After Effects when needed. You’ll help brainstorm angles, titles, first lines, and swipe-worthy thumbnails that boost engagement. You’ll be expected to revise quickly, handle feedback professionally, and ask questions when things feel unclear — we value clarity over guessing. You’ll help prep cutdowns, reformat edits for TikTok and YouTube Shorts, and understand how platform affects style and structure.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ultimately, transform footage into compelling stories that resonate with viewers, support brand goals, and stand out in the feed.
- Prepare multiple versions of a single video for different use cases—trailers, teasers, cutdowns, or language variants.
- Assist in creating content calendars, shot lists, or storyboards when needed to plan video production in advance.
- Edit for emotional impact—making sure pacing, music, and visuals support the intended tone and message.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions by suggesting creative ways to present content visually.
Preferred:
- Wants to grow into roles like Senior Editor, Motion Designer, or Creative Producer.
- Able to follow a creative brief and work within brand guidelines and visual identity.
- Comfortable working solo or in a team, remotely or in-studio.
- Open to learning new plugins, effects, or editing techniques to stay up to date.
- Willing to suggest creative edits, cuts, or ideas to improve video flow and viewer retention.
Benefits:
- Revisions are collaborative, respectful, and focused — no endless “make it pop” notes without direction.
- If you love storytelling through visuals, emotion through pacing, and clarity through composition — you’ll feel at home.
- We celebrate clean edits, snappy transitions, great pacing, and the moment your timing *just hits*.
- We value experimentation — if you’ve got a bold idea, we want to see it cut together.
- You’ll help shape the voice and visual identity of our brand or clients — frame by frame.
You can spot bad lighting, shaky shots, or awkward jump cuts a mile away — and you fix them without complaint. You’ll pitch ideas, suggest cuts, and collaborate like someone who actually cares how the final piece lands. You’ll organize files, back things up, double-check exports, and learn that professionalism is as important as creativity. You’ll assist senior editors and eventually take full ownership of smaller edits from start to finish. You’ll start with micro edits — then grow into owning whole series, formats, or influencer content blocks. You’ll finish this internship with more confidence, sharper skills, and work you’re proud to include in your reel. If you love timelines, tight cuts, and the thrill of making a video *feel* right — this is your editing playground. You’ll walk away with dozens of published clips and real proof that you can edit for attention, not just aesthetics. If you think in clips, hear beats in your head, and genuinely enjoy finding “the hook” — this internship was made for you.
