Description:

We’re searching for a Public Relations Trainee who’s ready to learn how to shape narratives, manage brand voice, and build trust through communication — no experience needed, just strong writing instincts and curiosity about media. You’ll help draft media pitches, press releases, and talking points for internal and external use. We’ll teach you how to build and maintain press lists, track earned coverage, and report on campaign performance. You’ll help organize interviews, support event planning, and learn how to represent a brand’s voice across different channels. Expect to support campaign launches, brand announcements, and reactive statements when fast communication matters most. You’ll also support social media messaging, company blogs, and cross-channel communication with a PR lens. We’ll guide you in understanding media cycles, deadlines, and what makes a story newsworthy. You’ll get experience with press release formatting, tone of voice guidelines, and brand narrative alignment. You’ll be included in team discussions about positioning, timing, and media angles that spark coverage.

Basic Qualifications:

• Turn complex company updates into human, headline-worthy stories.
• Act as a spokesperson when needed or prep company leaders for public speaking opportunities.
• Remember: your words don’t just reflect the company—they shape how it’s remembered.
• Track campaign performance using tools like Meltwater, Cision, or Google Alerts.
• Ensure all public messaging is clear, respectful, and in alignment with brand reputation.

Preferred:

• Able to coordinate interviews, press events, and public appearances with journalists or influencers.
• Comfortable using PR tools such as Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack, or Google Alerts for media monitoring.
• Understands the difference between owned, earned, and paid media, and how to leverage each.
• Experienced in writing for both B2B and B2C audiences depending on brand goals.
• Enjoys building relationships, amplifying voices, and creating positive public perception.
