Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to help people regain access, feel secure, and upgrade their lock systems — perfect for someone who’s precise, calm under pressure, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving. You’ll work with facility managers, building supervisors, and security teams to ensure locks and access points are always functioning and secure. You’ll be trained to unlock vehicles safely without damage using wedges, rods, air pumps, and bypass tools. You’ll connect smart devices to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, set up mobile apps, and walk clients through how to use their new system. You’ll repair or replace worn cylinders, broken card readers, misaligned strike plates, and faulty door hardware. You’ll be trained in programming codes, setting user permissions, and integrating locks with other smart home ecosystems. You’ll maintain your service vehicle with all tools, blanks, lubricants, and hardware needed for a variety of jobs. You’ll be trained in fast-entry techniques, crisis de-escalation, and how to navigate high-stress environments like break-ins or domestic disputes. You’ll rotate between emergency calls, dealership support, and scheduled rekeys or upgrades throughout your shift.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay up to date with advances in digital locks, biometric systems, and electronic access control.
• Create master key systems or restricted access setups for commercial clients.
• Respect client confidentiality and maintain a high level of trust when handling sensitive access points.
• Perform maintenance checks on high-traffic entry systems in offices or apartment buildings.
• Work on automotive locks—cutting transponder keys, reprogramming FOBs, or unlocking doors.

Preferred:

• Can follow blueprints, architectural drawings, or specs for large-scale keying and hardware installations.
• Experience installing, repairing, and servicing locks, deadbolts, safes, and security hardware in residential or commercial settings.
• Background or strong interest in mechanical systems, security hardware, or precision craftsmanship.
• Values integrity, patience, and problem-solving in helping clients secure their property.
• Capable of troubleshooting keyless entry systems and integrating locks with alarm or camera systems.

You’ll follow strict safety and privacy protocols when working in schools, healthcare offices, or secure facilities. You’ll use scanning devices and software to program keys and remotes while keeping up with vehicle security updates. You’ll help educate clients on stronger lock options, safety tips, and how to avoid future emergencies. You’ll assist with fleet key duplication, valet key management, and remote inventory for car rental or ride-share companies. You’ll work independently on the road, managing dispatches and customer communication via mobile app or radio. You’ll be expected to keep a clean appearance, respect privacy, and work discreetly in sensitive environments.
