Description:

We’re seeking an Architect Trainee who dreams of designing spaces that are not only beautiful, but purposeful — no prior experience required, just a strong design sense and eagerness to learn. You’ll work alongside architects on real projects, assisting with initial concepts, spatial layouts, and technical plans. We’ll teach you how to read and create architectural drawings, from floor plans to sections and elevations. You’ll help translate early sketches into digital models using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp. You’ll help with producing project documents, zoning research, and reference boards for internal and client presentations. You’ll learn how to analyze site constraints, zoning codes, and client needs to inform better design decisions. We’ll show you how to balance client expectations with regulatory standards and design integrity. You’ll explore how light, form, and circulation impact human experience within the built environment. You’ll contribute to documentation for planning applications, code compliance, and sustainable certifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Sketch freely when ideas are raw—think napkin, not always blueprint.
• Track hours, billing, and project milestones if managing multiple jobs.
• Balance innovation with constraints like cost, space, and environmental impact.
• Oversee bidding and contractor selection if you're involved in that phase.
• Manage timelines, documentation, and client communications to keep projects on track.

Preferred:

• Values innovation, technical rigor, and user experience in built environments.
• Pays attention to materials, structural feasibility, and spatial planning in every project.
• Organized with project timelines, drawing sets, and design development workflows.
• Licensed or on track for architectural certification, with strong knowledge of design principles and building codes.
• Understands how to balance aesthetics, functionality, and client requirements within budget constraints.
