Description:

We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee to support non-emergency and interfacility transport — ideal for someone who wants to build medical experience in a steady, structured setting. You’ll begin by supporting paramedics who respond to farms, villages, and rural roads where time and distance are critical factors. You’ll assist in restocking ambulances with medical supplies, checking equipment like defibrillators, oxygen tanks, and trauma kits before each shift. You’ll assist with treating a wide range of emergencies — from heart attacks and injuries to allergic reactions and animal-related trauma. You’ll be trained to adapt when resources are limited and hospital access takes 30 minutes or more by road. You’ll help guide guests to care areas discreetly and communicate with event staff when assistance is needed. You’ll be trained to spot early signs of medical distress in crowds, such as dehydration, intoxication, or anxiety. You’ll learn how paramedics improvise when backup is unavailable and how to make quick decisions with minimal tools. You’ll support team hygiene routines by cleaning and disinfecting the ambulance between transports and after patient contact.

Basic Qualifications:

• Provide advanced life support, including airway management, CPR, defibrillation, and medication administration.
• Help train new paramedics, EMTs, or interns when assigned to do so.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, hospital staff, and fellow responders to coordinate care.
• Use specialized equipment such as oxygen delivery systems, IV lines, EKG monitors, or stretchers effectively.
• Report equipment malfunctions or vehicle issues promptly to maintain operational readiness.

Preferred:

• Background or passion in emergency medicine, trauma response, or lifesaving interventions.
• Able to remain calm and focused during emergencies, including mass casualty incidents or high-risk environments.
• Enjoys being the first to respond and make a direct difference in patient outcomes.
• Knows how to safely lift and transport patients using stretchers, backboards, and proper body mechanics.
• Comfortable performing in both urban and rural settings with limited resources.
