We’re offering an Actuary Trainee position for someone who loves working with numbers, patterns, and predictions — no experience needed, just a sharp mind and curiosity about risk management. You’ll assist in developing financial models that help estimate uncertainty and support smarter decision-making. We’ll teach you how to collect, clean, and interpret data to support pricing, forecasting, and decision-making. You’ll help evaluate life expectancy, claim frequency, and potential financial outcomes based on real-world data. Expect to work with large spreadsheets, probability tables, and actuarial software tools that support long-term forecasting. You’ll support quarterly updates, regulatory filings, and model validations that directly inform business strategy. We’ll introduce you to loss triangles, exposure curves, and the building blocks of long-term projections. You’ll participate in discussions about reserves, liabilities, and how companies prepare for the unexpected. We’ll introduce you to stochastic methods, credibility theory, and the building blocks of solvency calculations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Communicate uncertainty, confidence intervals, and model limitations honestly and effectively.
• Analyze risk using statistical models, historical data, and economic trends to support business decisions.
• Interpret raw data to identify trends, anomalies, or new opportunities in risk management.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws, insurance regulation, and actuarial standards of practice.
• Perform scenario testing to evaluate the impact of events like inflation spikes, market crashes, or demographic shifts.

Preferred:

• Progress toward actuarial credentials (e.g., SOA, CAS, IFoA) with exams passed or in progress.
• Background or strong interest in actuarial science, economics, risk management, or applied statistics.
• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and financial theory with relevant academic background.
• Open to learning emerging tools like machine learning, predictive analytics, or data visualization platforms.
• Willing to validate and test actuarial models for accuracy and robustness.
