Description:
We’re hiring a Clinical Psychologist Trainee who’s ready to explore the therapeutic process from the inside — no previous experience required, just empathy, professionalism, and a deep interest in mental health. You’ll assist in preparing case summaries, organizing patient files, and reviewing psychological literature relevant to active cases. We’ll teach you how to observe therapeutic sessions with clinical intent — noting not just what’s said, but how it’s said. You’ll learn how to document progress, track behavioral patterns, and participate in debriefs with licensed psychologists. Expect to gain exposure to common treatment methods like CBT, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. We’ll walk you through how psychologists conduct assessments, build treatment plans, and set therapeutic goals. We’ll guide you in writing session summaries that are factual, respectful, and clinically useful. We’ll teach you how to recognize signs of trauma, dissociation, or defense mechanisms — and respond appropriately within your trainee scope. You’ll gain awareness of how culture, background, and environment affect client experiences and therapeutic rapport.
Basic Qualifications:
- Protect client confidentiality at all times and stay informed on relevant legal regulations.
- Maintain clear professional boundaries while still being warm, present, and human.
- Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions in a safe, confidential setting.
- Track patient progress over time and adjust therapeutic approaches as needed.
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments using interviews, observation, and standardized tests.
Preferred:
- Wants to grow into roles like Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, or Research Psychologist.
- Can maintain accurate records for case reviews, insurance compliance, or research purposes.
- Organized with session scheduling, intake documentation, and referral coordination.
- Familiar with maintaining clinical notes, treatment plans, and outcome tracking in accordance with ethical standards.
- Enjoys helping individuals build insight, emotional regulation, and resilience.
Benefits:
- You’re not just seeing clients — you're shaping lives and systems.
- Flexible scheduling — we respect your energy and your boundaries.
- Your clinical opinion matters — you're not just a box-checker.
- Supportive team of mental health professionals — no toxic productivity here.
- We celebrate your wins — even the small therapeutic breakthroughs.
We’ll help you understand the importance of cultural sensitivity, trauma-informed language, and inclusive practices. You’ll reflect on your own emotional responses and learn how to stay grounded in intense or emotional clinical moments. This role is ideal for someone who is thoughtful, ethical, and willing to grow through both study and experience. You’ll develop foundational skills in active listening, case synthesis, and respectful communication. We’ll support your professional growth with supervision, guided readings, and real conversations about clinical work. By the end of the traineeship, you’ll be equipped with core psychological concepts and first-hand observations of therapy in practice. You’ll walk away with greater confidence, real exposure, and a clearer sense of where you want to specialize. If you’re ready to begin your journey into the field of mental health — we’re here to help you start with care and purpose.
