Description:

We’re hiring an Electrician for emergency service calls — ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, solves problems fast, and keeps calm in unpredictable situations. You’ll perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in offices, retail centers, schools, hotels, and multi-use properties. You’ll read and interpret residential blueprints, floor plans, and load calculations to plan efficient and code-compliant layouts. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing faulty wiring, tripped breakers, and malfunctioning systems using meters and diagnostic tools. You’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment such as transformers, switchgear, pumps, compressors, and control panels. You’ll work with building management to ensure code compliance, plan upgrades, and maintain accurate maintenance logs. You’ll interact with homeowners directly, explaining your work and offering helpful advice on usage, safety, or energy savings. You’ll ensure every job site is left tidy and all visible work is aligned, labeled, and tested before completion. You’ll coordinate with dispatchers, property managers, or facility supervisors for access and follow-up scheduling.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure all work complies with national and local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Supervise apprentices or junior electricians, offering guidance on proper techniques and safety.
• Upgrade outdated panels, wiring, or systems to meet modern load demands.
• Run wiring through walls, ceilings, and conduits while following safety and code regulations.
• Work safely on ladders, rooftops, or in crawlspaces while wearing appropriate PPE.

Preferred:

• Organized with job documentation, permit handling, time tracking, and reporting service records.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
• Can provide accurate project estimates for labor, parts, and timeline based on job scope.
• Capable of working independently or within a larger construction or facilities maintenance team.
• Wants to grow into roles like Master Electrician, Electrical Foreman, or Electrical Engineer.
