Description:

We’re looking for a visionary Film Director who knows how to transform a script into a living, breathing cinematic experience — someone who leads with clarity, creativity, and emotional intelligence. You’ll be responsible for interpreting scripts, shaping narrative arcs, and ensuring emotional clarity in every scene. We expect you to collaborate fluidly with writers, cinematographers, art directors, and editors throughout the production pipeline. You’ll direct casting, lead rehearsals, and bring out layered performances that feel honest, surprising, and fully human. You’ll design scenes with a sharp eye for blocking, movement, and camera language that enhances the emotional core of each moment. We’ll count on your ability to unify a diverse crew under one creative vision, while remaining open to input and adaptation. You’ll be involved in casting, location scouting, shot listing, and building a cohesive creative team around the project. You’ll be responsible for managing rehearsals, communicating the emotional beats of each scene, and adapting quickly when things shift in the moment. In post-production, you’ll oversee editing, color grading, sound design, and scoring to ensure everything clicks in rhythm and tone.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work under pressure while juggling multiple creative, technical, and interpersonal demands.
• Give constructive, respectful direction to both cast and crew to get the best results.
• Represent the film at festivals, press events, and in promotional interviews when needed.
• Collaborate with cinematographers, production designers, and costume teams to build the film’s visual world.
• Advocate for your vision while respecting the collaborative nature of filmmaking.

Preferred:

• Experienced in directing for different platforms — cinema, streaming, branded content, or social.
• Organized with production timelines, storyboards, call sheets, and shot breakdowns.
• Passionate about crafting visually striking scenes that serve narrative and character arcs.
• Values originality, storytelling clarity, and emotional resonance in film.
• Background or strong passion in filmmaking, directing, screenwriting, or visual arts.
