Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to help people regain access, feel secure, and upgrade their lock systems — perfect for someone who’s precise, calm under pressure, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving. You’ll respond to car lockouts, lost key scenarios, broken ignitions, and remote reprogramming requests across a variety of vehicle makes and models. You’ll remove old hardware, prepare doors and frames, and ensure seamless installation of new digital access products. You’ll verify ownership or occupancy in emergency situations and maintain proper documentation for legal compliance. You’ll repair or replace worn cylinders, broken card readers, misaligned strike plates, and faulty door hardware. You’ll drive a fully stocked mobile service vehicle with tools, blanks, key-cutting machines, and diagnostic gear for roadside work. You’ll work with brands like August, Schlage, Yale, and commercial access control platforms depending on the job. You’ll rotate between residential upgrades, short-term rental clients, office access systems, and tech-savvy homeowners. You’ll work closely with law enforcement, property managers, or emergency services during sensitive or high-risk calls.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain professional appearance and communication—clients often meet you in stressful situations.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local regulations.
• Respond to emergency lockout situations with professionalism and minimal damage.
• Respond promptly to scheduled jobs and urgent calls, even during nights or weekends.
• Respect client confidentiality and maintain a high level of trust when handling sensitive access points.

Preferred:

• Capable of troubleshooting keyless entry systems and integrating locks with alarm or camera systems.
• Background or strong interest in mechanical systems, security hardware, or precision craftsmanship.
• Thrives in independent, trust-based roles where technical skill and discretion are essential.
• Pays strong attention to detail when working with small mechanisms, security pins, and precision tools.
• Comfortable interpreting lock diagrams, manufacturer specs, or key code charts during service calls.
