Description:

We’re hiring a UX Copywriter Trainee — no prior experience required, just strong attention to language, structure, and how words guide users through products. You’ll learn how to write microcopy: button labels, tooltips, error messages, empty states, and onboarding screens. We’ll teach you how to structure headlines, leads, and story arcs that grab attention and keep people reading. You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and developers to craft clear, intentional text across interfaces. Expect to help with field notes, email interviews, transcription, and shaping human voices into readable, respectful narratives. You’ll get experience interviewing people, pulling quotes, writing follow-up questions, and editing for tone and accuracy. You’ll gain experience writing short profiles, event recaps, long-form articles, and mini-documentaries in written form. Some days you’ll cover real-time updates, other days you’ll chase slower stories that take time to unfold — both matter. You’ll gain habits around writing concisely, testing alternatives, and thinking about tone in moments of success, error, or hesitation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Write fast without sacrificing clarity or craft when news or deadlines demand it.
• Write clear, compelling content across formats—articles, blog posts, emails, landing pages, and more.
• Be ready to adjust or rewrite pieces based on feedback, metrics, or shifting priorities.
• Conduct interviews or gather quotes from experts, stakeholders, or people on the ground.
• Communicate proactively if you’re blocked, need context, or see a red flag.

Preferred:

• Familiar with SEO writing practices, keyword placement, and crafting headlines that attract clicks.
• Pays attention to clarity, structure, grammar, and overall readability.
• Open to learning performance-based writing for email, ads, or landing pages.
• Able to transform complex topics into clear, engaging narratives that inform or persuade.
• Comfortable using Grammarly, Hemingway, or similar tools to refine drafts.
