Description:
We’re looking for a Sales Assistant Intern who’s excited to gain real experience, build confidence in customer service, and explore what it’s like to be part of a dynamic retail team. You’ll assist with customer interactions, learning how to greet, guide, and support shoppers with professionalism and care. You’ll practice those same skills yourself, gradually building comfort in starting conversations and helping customers with confidence. You’ll help restock shelves, organize displays, and keep the store looking clean and visually appealing throughout the day. We’ll train you on how to handle basic transactions and operate a POS system, one step at a time. We’ll teach you how to approach upselling ethically — offering relevant suggestions without being pushy. You’ll shadow experienced staff and gradually take on more direct responsibility as your comfort level increases. You’ll be part of team briefings, gaining insight into promotions, sales goals, and seasonal retail strategies. You’ll gain experience dealing with different customer personalities — learning patience, problem-solving, and professionalism.
Basic Qualifications:
- Participate in in-store events or promotions by helping with setup and customer engagement.
- Balance friendliness with efficiency, especially during peak hours.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including counting the till and securing the store.
- Tag, fold, or hang merchandise so everything looks presentation-ready.
- Keep fitting rooms tidy and ready for the next customer at all times.
Preferred:
- Wants to grow into roles like Senior Sales Associate, Store Supervisor, or Visual Merchandiser.
- Can provide feedback to managers about customer preferences or frequently asked questions.
- Able to assist clients with product selection, answer questions, and offer personalized recommendations.
- Open to upselling, cross-selling, and promoting new arrivals or featured products.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and helping lift or move merchandise when needed.
