Description:

We’re seeking an Online Chat Moderator who can keep the digital conversation flowing smoothly while upholding community standards with professionalism and empathy. This role is about more than just deleting comments — you’ll be actively involved in building a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all users. From moderating live chats and forums to handling user reports and applying community guidelines, you’ll be the one helping to ensure things don’t just run — they run smoothly. You’ll act as the eyes and ears of our community, catching inappropriate content, flagging recurring issues, and ensuring our guidelines are consistently followed. You should be comfortable multitasking across different platforms (think Discord, Telegram, live events, forums) and using moderation tools to take quick action when needed. You’ll work closely with the content and support teams to escalate issues, track recurring problems, and suggest improvements to our moderation systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Attend team syncs or mod check-ins to align on priorities, tone, and recurring issues.
• Be a calm, neutral presence in heated moments, de-escalating tension before it spreads.
• Be available for weekend or evening shifts if chat activity peaks during those times.
• Flag and report technical issues, bugs, or suspicious behavior to the appropriate internal teams.
• Collaborate with other moderators to provide around-the-clock coverage in different time zones.

• Curious about how digital communities grow and how to protect them.
• Enjoys watching how online communities evolve and thrive.
• Willing to work in shifts and collaborate with other moderators or team members.
• Able to follow instructions carefully and stick to moderation guidelines.
